A collection of poems spanning the career of the New Zealand poet Allen Curnow. The author's first book of poems appeared in 1933 and he has edited the Penguin Book of New Zealand Verse . He was made a CBE in 1986, received the Commonwealth Poetry Prize and the Queen's Medal for Poetry.
