Description
Morgan, William Ferdinand, D.D. a clergyman of the Protestant Episcopal Church, was born at Hartford, Connecticut, December 21, 1817. He graduated from Union College in 1837, and from the General Theological Seminary in 1840. He was a rector in Norwich, Connecticut, and New York city until his death, May 18, 1888. In 1864 he was sent to Paris to preach the sermon at the dedication of Holy Trinity, the first Protestant Episcopal church on the Continent. See Appletons' Cyclop. of Amer.
