Dr. David I. Schneider, who is known widely for his tutorial software, holds a B.A. degree from Oberlin College, Oberlin, Ohio, and a Ph.D. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cambridge, Massachusetts. He is currently an associate Professor of Mathematics at the University of Maryland, College Park, Maryland. He has authored eight widely used mathematics texts, fourteen highly acclaimed computer books, and three widely used mathematics software packages.
