"In Wounded Ronald J. Glasser, M.D., who served as an army hospital physician during the Vietnam war, offers an unparalleled description of the horror endured daily by our troops on the ground. In this critical analysis, the focus is on our wounded soldiers, from the initial cause of injury on to the long road of recovery. Throughout, Glasser draws significant and frightening comparisons between our medical experiences in Vietnam and Iraq."--Jacket.

It’s called comfort food for a reason. Not much is known about the cookbook, except that years ago, the mysterious Granny B collected a set of magical recipes and wrote them down. Over the years, each book has been modified, corrected, added to, and passed down through the generations to accumulate its own unique history. The secrets behind these very special recipes are about to find their way into new hands and new lives, just when they’re needed the most. Food created out of love casts a spell all its own, but Granny B’s recipes add a little something extra. This curious cookbook holds not only delicious food, but also the secrets of love, trust, and healing, and it’s about to work its magic once again. One year ago, actor Connor Montgomery lost the love of his life to a drunk driver. But what's worse for Connor is what he still has: a lifetime of secrets born of hiding his relationship from the glare of Hollywood. Unable to let go of the world he and Vinnie shared, Connor films a drunken YouTube confession on the anniversary of Vinnie's death. Thankfully, the video was silent--a familiar state for Connor--so his secret is still safe. He needs a fresh start, and a new role on the hit TV show Wolf's Landing might be just that. The move to Bluewater Bay may also mean a second chance in the form of his studio-assigned assistant. Noah Dakers sees through Connor's facades more quickly than Connor could imagine. Noah's quiet strength and sarcastic companionship offers Connor a chance at love that Hollywood's closet has never allowed. But to accept it, Connor must let Vinnie go and learn to live again. Immortal

Book Review Reviewed by Anne B. for ReadersFavorite.com Our story began in a small village in 1157. Three strangers stepped out of a portal (Animat channel) on a mission. The town’s people hide in fear, only a dog and an old priest approached them. They were searching for the dark fog and the white mist. The priest warned them to stay away from the fog and mist; bad things happen to those enveloped by the fog. Two of the men had experienced the dark fog previously, but the Supreme Master had not. He doubted the words of the priest. The fog surrounded him and tried to draw him deeply in. If it were not for his companions, The Supreme Ruler would not have had the will to survive. The mist came next. It was very different from the fog but just as mystical. They heard a baby cry from within the mist. The Supreme Ruler himself carried the child to the Animat Channel. So begins Immortal. Magna Kruger presents readers with a mystical tale filled with suspense, magic and the supernatural. The story centers around two families: the Pendragons and Darcanians. We journey with young Aidan to The Village of Shamrock, a medieval town untouched by time, the home of the Academy for the Spiritually Gifted. We stand by Aidan’s side as he learns to master the four elements. Kruger skillfully created a mystical world. The world she created is certainly beyond anything I could ever imagine. The school for the Spiritually Gifted is fascinating. The characters are well developed and multidimensional. I suspect Aidan could become as popular as Harry Potter. I can hardly wait for the next installment of this series.
