The Doctrine Of Immortality In The Odes Of Solomon

"THE conjunction which is made in the title of the present lecture between the doctrine of the immortality of the soul and the recent discovery of the Odes of Solomon will be in harmony, on the one hand, with the foundation of the lectureship and with the advance, on the other hand, in our knowledge of early Christian, or even Jewish, beliefs, which necessarily accompanies the appearance of a new factor in the documentary evidence."
