About Author

Shari Anton

Shari Anton's resume lists an impressive string of job titles, from personnel clerk to executive secretary. When she took a creative writing class and found she possessed some talent for writing fiction, she dared to dream of a career that allowed her to work at home, shun panty hose and take unlimited coffee breaks. Determined to write what she loved to read - historical romance - she spent the next few years learning the craft of writing a novel and entering various writing contests, winning first place in several. Emboldened by her success, she submitted her work to agents and publishers. Her persistence paid off in 1997 with the publication of her first book by Harlequin Historicals. Shari has also written historical romances for Grand Central Publishing. Shari and her husband live in Wisconsin, have two grown children, and do their best to spoil their grandchildren. Every chance they get, they pack the saddlebags on their Harleys and hit the road.

Description

Once a Bride (Hamelin Family #2) by Shari Anton (Goodreads Author) 3.38 · Rating details · 84 Ratings · 6 Reviews To Eloise Hamelin of Lelleford, 'tis the stuff of nightmares: her betrothed dies on the church steps. Her beloved father disappears after being charged with treason. And the king places her home in the hands of a knight she loathes...and longs for. To Roland St. Marten, 'tis the worst hell to oversee Lelleford. Its mistress, Eloise, treats him not as her new lord but as an unwanted guest. And yet in the heat of their clashes—about her father's whereabouts, about a woman's place—he's drawn to her loyalty and her fire. Any love between them would bring Roland nothing but ruin. For how could he remain true to the king and still taste Eloise's exquisite temptation?
