The only bright spots in the lives of the three Scott children after their father went to Europe and left them in the care of an elderly couple who neither understood nor particularly liked children were the all-too-rare visits of their grandfather. Therefore the chance to sail down the Atlantic coast with him came as a welcome surprise and they determined to let nothing stop them. Nor did they, even when their grandfather became ill and was forced to temporarily abandon the ship. The adventures of the three children are plausible and just the sort many readers dream of having. A good adventure story and some interesting information about coastal sailing.

> Once more, Anne McNeill and her surgeon-sleuth husband find their wish for peace and quiet frustrated by murder. Anne's brother needs convalescence after a long illness, but the Convalescent Inn turns out to be sadly lacking in peace and quiet. There's a murder soon after Anne and her brother get there. And when Anne has time to take a good look at her fellow convalescents, she is not in the least comforted or encouraged.

The ebullient and likable McNeills are with us again. Death and mystery chase Jeffrey even to the small community where he and his wife Anne are spending the summer. The personalities are subtle, and the game is hard to play. Jeffrey's skill is taxed to the limit, and Mrs. DuBois is at her best.
