Detective brothers Frank and Joe catch a book crook to save their library in the sixteenth book in the interactive Hardy Boys Clue Book series. Having a library just for kids is the best, and they love the real-life bookworm mascots, a whole farm of them! But the town council is facing budget cuts and will vote soon on whether to shut down the BJPL and combine locations with the adult library. Just when the boys’ librarian is starting to sway the council in her favor, a valuable book goes missing from the Rare Reads Room! The Hardy brothers are determined to find the missing book and save the library. Joe pulls out a rare book of his own—the clue book! There are plenty of suspects, from the councilwoman who’s in favor of folding the junior library to their classmate Jeffrey Le Guin who was temporarily suspended from the library for making too much noise. But the more they investigate, the more they realize that you can’t judge a crook by their cover.

Bayport Elementary is almost ready for the annual science fair—it’s all down to the final touches. Frank and Joe have collaborated on a detective helmet. Frank and Joe Hardy have been hard at work turning their front yard into an eco-friendly edible landscape garden thanks to a contest sponsored by the Bayport Science Center. Frank’s really been enjoying learning about how to make the garden thrive, while Joe likes all of the cool critters and, of course, getting to munch on all of the yummy food. When the prize vegetables being grown in some of the top competitors’ gardens are attacked, at first it looks like hungry pests have been having a feast. But as Frank and Joe unearth more evidence, it appears those cucumbers aren’t being crunched by creatures with a craving. No, the veggies are the target of a clever saboteur. The Hardys will have to figure out who’s been destroying the gardens fast, before their friends’ chances of winning the contest are shredded like lettuce.

To Jason, the message is clear: stay away from Captain Scurvydog’s booty! Frank and Joe don’t believe in ghosts. They’re sure someone is tricking Jason so they can dig up the buried treasure themselves. The only question is, who?

Frank and Joe can’t wait for their trip to the Bayport Aquarium. A new tide pool exhibit has just opened where visitors can learn all about horseshoe crabs, rays, jellyfish, and other sea life as they touch and hold the flora and fauna that make up the aquatic ecosystem! But in the middle of the presentation, an aquarium worker realizes that one of the creatures has gone missing from the tank. It can’t survive for long outside the water, and the clock is ticking. Can the Hardy Boys follow the clues and find the culprit before the new exhibit sinks?

Detective brothers Frank and Joe must solve a muddy mystery in the ninth book in the interactive Hardy Boys Clue Book series. Bayport Elementary is hosting a Mud Run to celebrate spring! A particularly muddy part of the town’s park will be set aside for the race and Coach Lambert has even managed to make more mud by using the park’s hoses and shovels. Frank and Joe can’t wait to splash through the muck. But on the day of the race, the runners are stopped in their tracks by croaking, blurping bullfrogs! Lots of people in the town had been annoyed that the park was being taken over by a bunch of muddy kids. Could someone have sabotaged the race with buckets of frogs?
