German translation by Carl Ludwig Menzzer of the 1543 Latin "Nicolai Copernici torinensis De revolutionibus orbium coelestium" by Nicolaus Copernicus, who is here spelled Nicolaus Coppernicus (with two p), as this form was most often used by the astronomer himself, as explained in the section "Ueber die Orthographie des Namens Coppernicus."
