Casey Maldonado leaves town after a bad car accident. Her only companion is Death, who won't take her, but won't leave her alone. Halfway through Stella's sitting at Wolf Ink, her tattoo artist and his wife disappear into the back room. Stella dozes off; when she awakes, and they've not come back, she drives home.
