John B. Miller (26 June 1912 - 21 February 2000) was a writer from Bovill, Idaho most known for his book "The Trees Grew Tall" which recorded the history of Bovill and the surrounding area."He grew up in Bovill and graduated from Bovill High School and the University of Idaho. After graduation, he went to work as a geologist for Standard Oil of California, spending many years in Columbia and Venezuela. In 1962, he was transferred to the company offices in San Francisco where he remained until retirement."-Archives West
