It was not merely the muffled sounds she heard coming from it in the darkness or the spectral figures glimpsed by moonlight. Something about the crumbling house touched a strange and terrible chord of memory… …and Kay knew she had to discover its secret, even though that might mean learning a horrifying truth about the man she loved that would plunge her over the brink of safety into a yawning abyss of terror…
The man who died twice
Shortly after the accident that snuffed out her beloved husband's life, young Charlotte Mason realized that someone was trying to kill her.... While neither man trusted the other, Charlotte trusted them both - until something happened and she knew one of them was a cold-blooded killer. But which one? And why?
