The mysterious collapse of World Trade Center 7

"At 5:20 in the afternoon on 9/11, Building 7 of the World Trade Center collapsed, even though it had not been struck by a plane and had fires on only a few floors. The reason for its collapse was considered a mystery. In August 2008, NIST (the National Institute of Standards and Technology) issued its report on WTC 7, declaring that "the reason for the collapse of World Trade Center 7 is no longer a mystery" and that "science is really behind what we have said." Showing that neither of these claims is true, David Ray Griffin demonstrates that NIST is guilty of the most serious types of scientific fraud: fabricating, falsifying, and ignoring evidence. He also shows that NIST's report left intact the central mystery: How could a building damaged by fire - not explosives - have come down in free fall?"--Pub. desc.

9/11 and American empire

This is a book of essays written by prominent intellectuals in various specialties, who apply their expertise to the known facts about 9/11 and come to conclusions that contradict the official narrative about 9/11. Essays are written by such intellectual giants as Richard A. Falk, Daniele Ganser, as well as witnesses like Col. Karen Kwiatkowski. For me the most important essay was written by Steven A. Jones, professor of physics at Brigham Young University and author of more than 40 peer-reviewed papers published in scientific journals. He applies the pure science of open air fires to the materials used in the construction of the Twin Towers. No one has ever contradicted his application of that science. A MUST-READ even now for anyone who wants to know what happened on 9/11.

Physics and speculative philosophy

"This work grapples with key issues of reality (both potentiality and actuality), scale (both local and global), context (scale and approximation, plus asymmetry/symmetry), and process (both emergence and actual events). Building on a convergence of progress in physics, emergence research, and process thought, this work highlights a new relational realism, which enables intuitive, yet effective, solutions to key problems in modern science."--Cover page 4.

Tully's three books of offices, in English ...

In presenting Peirce, James, Bergson, Whitehead, and Hartshorne as members of a common and distinctively postmodern trajectory, this book casts the thought of each of them in a new light. It also suggests a new direction for the philosophical community as a whole, now that the various forms of modern philosophy, and even the deconstructive form of postmodern philosophy, are widely perceived to be dead-ends. This new option offers the possibility that philosophy may recover its role as critic and guide within the more general culture, a recovery that is desperately needed in these perilous times. -- Back cover.
