Description
David G. Rowlands (b. 1941), a biochemist by profession, has had many excellent horror and ghost stories published over the past twenty years, and is a regular contributor to Haunted Library publications and the Holly Bough, a Christmas magazine published by the Cork Examiner. Father O'Connor, a Catholic priest with a keen interest in the supernatural, is featured in many of his best stories, including Rowlands' 1981 collection Eye Hath Not Seen, which contains six 'supernatural anecdotes from the reminiscences of Father O'Connor'. [from Tales of Witchcraft, edited by Richard Dalby (1994)] Among his other interests are railways, campanology, and western movies, all of which - even the last - he has managed to incorporate into Father O'Connor stories from time to time. He is also the author of several non-fiction books, including The Tralee and Dingle Railway (1977). [from Ghosts and Scholars : Ghost Stories in the Tradition of M.R. James edited by Richard Dalby and Rosemary Pardoe (1989)]
