Caroline Bruce Cooney was born in Geneva, New York and raised in Greenwich, Connecticut. She became interested in writing while still in grade school, and began publishing her stories when her children were young. She has published more than 75 suspense, mystery, and romance novels for teenagers. She currently resides in Fort Mill, South Carolina.
