Description
Caroline Arnold is the author of more than 170 books for children. She writes both fiction and nonfiction and has recently illustrated some of her books with striking cut paper art. Her newest books are PLANTING A GARDEN IN ROOM 6: From Seeds to Salad and KEEPER OF THE LIGHT: Juliet Fish Nichols Fights the San Francisco Fog. Other recent titles include BUTTERFLIES IN ROOM 6, HATCHING CHICKS IN ROOM 6, LIVING FOSSILS: Clues to the Past, A DAY AND NIGHT IN THE DESERT, A WARMER WORLD, TOO HOT? TOO COLD? and many more. Fireflies
Anthology of brief "prose poems" by Rabindranath Tagore (1861-1941), first published in 1928. Tagore wrote: "Fireflies had their origin in China and Japan where thoughts were very often claimed from me in my hand-writing on fans and pieces of silk." Tagore may have been influenced by Japanese haiku poetry. "Fireflies" has also been described as a collection of meditations.
