Becky Barker
Description
Becky Barker has been a avid reader of romance since grade school and considers herself one of those lucky people whose life has been filled with music, laughter, and love. Her first novel was published in 1987, and she continues writing the romances she’s always loved to read. Her novels have been translated into more than a dozen foreign languages. She looks forward to spending more years working at the craft she loves. She is also a staff writer for a weekly newspaper and is an advisor for the Central Ohio chapter of the Romance Writers of America. Becky married Buzz Barker, a former marine and her personal hero. Together, they created three beautiful, intelligent children; Rachel, Amanda, and Thad, who are their pride and joy. They love spending time with their extended families. Becky has five siblings, and Buzz has two, which leads to some wild, but wonderful family get-togethers. These days, Rachel and her husband, Jerramy; Amanda and her husband, Jay; and Thad and his wife, Dara, all live within a few miles of Mom and Dad in rural Ohio. Becky lives with her husband in a big old farmhouse surrounded by many natural delights. They love watching birds and especially enjoy the colorful goldfinches, cardinals, ruby-throated hummingbirds, and even the ornery blue jays. Over the years, they've raised a menagerie of pets, including pigs, sheep, calves, cats, dogs, and a goat named George who thought he was a watchdog. Now the only pet they pamper is an aging black Labrador retriever named Max. A favorite pastime in the warmer months is sitting on their front-porch swing just talking and sharing quiet time together, and they also enjoy gardening and music.

Bedroom Eyes
Skinny-Dipping When Liana awoke to the scent of freshly mown alfalfa hay, the beauty of a country morning came rushing back to her. She was glad to _ be back in the big white farmhouse that had belonged to her family for more than a century. During the past few months in New York, she'd run herself ragged, trying to establish herself in the competitive world of interior design. A summer of home-cooked meals, sun-drenched afternoons, and dips in the local pond was just the cure Liana needed. She didn't think the new owner of the neigh-boring farm was in town. The last she'd heard, he was a wealthy tycoon in New York City -- most likely an old fuddy-duddy. As Liana slipped into the pond, she was unaware of the turquoise eyes noting her every move. Nate Harden didn't know what to make of the trespasser skinny-dipping in his pond. With her silvery blond hair and sapphire eyes, she reminded him of a fairy nymph, a vexing creature of legend. But when Liana Banner emerged from the water, there was no hiding the fact that she was a woman -- proud, lovely, and defiant. And in that moment, he vowed to make her his own.
