About Author

Jeb Bohn

Born and raised in Eastern North Carolina, Jeb began writing stories as a child. As he entered his teenage years, the focus shifted to music, a passion that continues to this day. After spending 15 years drumming in a variety of bands, his creative output moved back to writing when he published a trio of short stories in 2014 that laid the groundwork for his career in writing. Inspired by a particularly vivid dream, he set to work on his debut novel, Bermuda. After the novel’s August 2018 release, he began work on the first in a series of horror-inspired novellas before focusing on his second full-length release. The Hangman’s Soliloquy, a direct sequel to Bermuda and the second book in the Herman Ingram series, was released on April 10, 2020. When he’s not writing, Jeb enjoys spending time with his family, aimless drives, and music. An avid hockey fan, Jeb also loves watching the Carolina Hurricanes, though he has been unable to convert his son…yet.

Some secrets are meant to stay in the dark... A van leaves a hidden mansion on the outskirts of Raleigh. When it breaks down on a quiet road, a group of masked assailants set upon the driver, leaving him a message: "Tell them we know." A longtime friend asks Herman to look into the event, and he stumbles upon what he thinks is a weapon trafficking operation. Herman tracks a group to a lakeside burn site, narrowly escaping with his life. Convinced the men were destroying evidence, he calls in a favor to have the pit excavated, finding that the reality of the situation is much worse, involving some of the most powerful and elite people in the state. With help from a vigilante group and a new friend, Herman works to end the vile enterprise and shed light on the people behind it.

Some people kill to keep secrets. It's his job to expose them. Herman is a man of many traits: cynical, sarcastic, dogged. He's also a journalist who's tired of telling the same story. The unbridled optimism of his youth is long gone, yet he still yearns to make a difference. Luckily, he's about to get the chance. The catch? It may cost him his life. When a strange package shows up on his doorstep, Herman is intrigued. Inside, he finds documentation on a revolutionary water treatment plant under construction in Central Florida... ...and plans to add a synthetic additive to a water source that supplies millions. His research yields unsettling results—one scientist is dead; another is on the run—all pointing to a research firm in a town called Bermuda. Can Herman—aided by his mentor and a small band of allies—put an end to this scheme, or will he be sacrificed in the name of progress? Pick up this page-turner today and find out!
