"Since childhood, George Washington Mars has always had a passion for weapons - rifles and hand guns - and over the years has made some of the most beautiful customized rifles ever seen. He lives in the town of Pueblo Juarez where, a year ago, a freighter shot and killed Jorge Español in a gunfight. When Jorge's brother Hernando is wounded trying to avenge his death, George makes him a revolver that fires when it's on half cock, saving the time it takes to pull back the hammer before firing - giving Hernando the upper hand. Not long after, the gun is stolen from George's shop. Mars has engraved his name on it but, as the weapon passes from one hand to another, his identity becomes as much of a mystery as why possession of it skews the odds in any gun duel."--Back cover.
