"A low sound of moaning fell upon my ears. Woman or child? I wondered which. I heard it again. It seemed to be the last word in misery—the highest pitch of anguish—the deepest note of despair. I listened sympathetically."

Description
“Times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord.” (Acts 3:19) This is the fourth in Edwin Orr’s seven “travel books,” detailing his trip through Canada in 1935. This was a significant and remarkable trip for Orr. His time and ministry at the famous People’s Church in Toronto, under Pastor Oswald J. Smith, was an important landmark in his ministry. Before that time Orr had preached the message of revival to God’s people with blessing and effectiveness, but starting in Toronto the fruit was far more evident.
