Subjects include: - The Glorious Mystery of the Person of Christ, God and Man - Communion with God the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost - In-dwelling Sin in Believers - Temptation; the Nature and Power of it - Mortification of Sin in Believers - The Death of Christ, the Price he paid, and Purchase he made With an added bonus: - A "Display" (Refutation of the points of) Arminianism This volume contains works "first published in the DOCTOR's Life-time; and now Collected together in one VOLUME; being very useful for Families. To which is prefixed the Doctor's Effigies (portrait) curiously engraven." It also contains a forward, "To the Reader" by the publishers describing the purpose of the collection. Originally planned to be only 150 pages, it grew to almost 200.
