Description
Set during WW2 this short novel describes the strange relationship that develops between an army deserter and Alice, a married woman struggling to run a farm single- handed in the absence of her P.O.W. husband. The drama reaches a shocking conclusion when army MPs begin searching for the deserter and Alice disguises him as a woman.
