The Princess and the Goblin is a fantasy novel that centers around a lonely young princess named Irene. One day Irene is chased by goblins and is rescued by a young miner named Curdie. The Princess and Curdie is the sequel to The Princess and the Goblin. The action continues with Princess Irene and Curdie who try to overthrow a group of corrupt ministers.
