Description

The book is about the inland indians in Alaska at the time of the establisment of the first Russian and British tradeposts in Alaska. Although it is fiction it is based on stories told by the indians along the Yukon river. The title means that Larion did not obey any other laws than his own. Larion was the chief of one of the indian tribes, and the book describes his adventures and his contacts with the Russians.
