After losing his editing job, Stuart and his wife Andie find themselves envying, resentful, and distrustful of their perfect nanny, Miss Washington, a woman who is a talented painter, cooking whiz, and a natural with their children, feelings that set in motion a series of bizarre events that include both a suspected kidnapping and a lucrative book deal.
