The Falls of Death

In the jungle a secret can lie undisturbed for decades.... Shirley Richards has always been obsessed with the death of her grandfather in a plane crash in British Guiana during World War II. And the further she investigates, the more certain she becomes that he is still alive in the Guyanese jungle. Tom O'Ryan isn't so certain in fact, he thinks Shirley's crazy but he is obsessed with Guyana (as it now is), where he spent the first ten years of his life, and, if he's honest with himself, his life is going nowhere in England. He thinks agreeing to accompany the very attractive Shirley on her expedition to the South American rainforest will prove an interesting distraction at best and a wild-goose chase at worst. That is, until the threats begin. And when local inhabitants are found dead in bizarre circumstances, and Shirley and Tom discover a cave behind the Kaieteur Falls, they put two and two together and come up with a lot more than four....
