The early and later Delaware Baptists

The once blazing light of the early Delaware Baptist churches has long ago faded. Scattered remnants may remain, but their zeal and effect upon this world have been quenched. Most of the later Delaware Baptist churches depicted in this book have suffered the same fate. While Antinomianism (anti-missionary, anti-Sunday school, anti-tract, anti-evangelism, anti-church planting, etc.) extinguished the light of the past, liberalism has dimmed the present. For those whose lights are still shining in Delaware and are remaining true to the doctrine, practice, and spirit of the genuine Baptist faith, we thank God. It is our prayer that the Lord would use this reprint to inspire us with the lives of the great Delaware Baptists of the past and keep us faithful to the Savior's command to "Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature." - 2010 introduction.
