Clyde Norman Shealy, M.D., Ph.D., D. Sc., FACS, DABNS is President of Shealy-Sorin Wellness Institute and Holos Energy Medicine Education. He is often called the “Father of Holistic Medicine” and Founded the American Holistic Medical Association in 1978. Dr. Shealy created the concept of Holistic Medicine in 1971 with the introduction of the first of its kind Shealy Pain & Rehabilitation Institute, which evolved into the Shealy-Sorin Wellness Institute. Addressing patients who have been failed by conventional medicine. Dr. Shealy is a world-renowned neurosurgeon and is well-known for the invention of the spinal cord stimulation procedure and Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation (TENS Unit) which are utilized all over the world among numerous other medical breakthroughs. As of 2021, Dr. Shealy is still active in clinical work, research, writing, education and is a highly sought after keynote speaker at a number of National and International Conferences. He is the recipient of a number of lifetime achievement awards in the fields of Medicine, Holism, Wellness, Innovation and Education and advancement in Science and Humanitarian aspects. He has appeared on numerous national TV programs and scores of regional and local television and radio programs.
