Description
Nell Dobell arrives at Innsbruck with her school choir, to sing in a music festival. At the station her party is greeted by a deputation from the Innsbruck choir, and Nell falls out of her carriage on to the platform and straightaway into love with Franz Walther. It seems like an idyll, but this is 1937; Hitler is preparing to march into Austria and Franz is half-Jewish. What future can there be for him and Nell? Poignant and compelling, this is the story of two summers separated by nearly thirty years and two very different romances.
