Secret of the ring

Released from Newgate jail, Dick Palmer, the son of a notorious highwayman, rides off to seek a new life outside London. However, he arrives at the village of High Beach to rest at the Black Horse Inn and is framed for murder. Jeanette, the innkeeper's daughter, aids his escape, but like his father, he is forced to become a highwayman. Fighting to clear his name, he and Jeanette then become enmeshed in a sinister mystery involving an earlier murder.
