Description

One of the men was a saddle-maker from the Turtle Mountain region just northof the Canadian border They meet each other while seeking shelter in a dugout. They become friendly with Indian tribes. They travelled together to the Red River region. It is mostly about life in the wilderness. The story takes place between Dakota and over the Canadian border. Mostly around the Souris Canadian River in Saskatchewan southeastand a curve into Dakota
