"I'm off to see the world!" We hear people say this in movies and cartoons. We read it in books. You may have even said it yourself. What does it mean to see the world? We see the world when we look at a globe. We see it when we look at maps. But "to see the world" means something else, too. To see the world is to travel to new places and learn about them.
