No Retreat, No Surrender

Tom DeLay tells his own story about his life and how he became a Congressman. He tells the sad story of how political opponents attacked him through the courts since they couldn't win against him with the voters. Three episodes in his life color his thinking: 1. Being held captive by Fidel Castro's thugs in Havana during a stopover on a flight home from Venezuela in 1959 showed him the face of tyranny. 2. Being enthralled as a young man by Barry Goldwater's speech to the 1964 Republican National Convention confirmed him as a lifelong conservative. 3. Becoming a born-again Christian after his first term in Washington changed his life and view of the world completely.
