Krip Vorland, cargo master apprentice for the free trader "Lydis" is caught up in an interstellar power play involving the mysterious beast trainer, "Maelen" of the mythical Thassa. Kidnapped by undercover agents, Vorland is spirited away right in front of his captain and crew man assigned to ensure his safety. Beaten to within an inch of his life, young Vorland is half dead when he’s finally tracked down by Moon Singer Maelen and her “little people”. From there on, its one threat after another as Krip Vorland and Moon Singer Maelen try to find their way back to the Lydis and her crew before she’s forced to leave the planet.
