This book is an excellent descriptive publication on the state's minerals and rocks and includes discussions on minerals that were previously unknown in Wyoming until discovered by Hausel. Some of the interesting minerals and rocks described in the book include ruby, sapphire, diamond, iolite, peridot, opal, kimberlite, lamproite, komatiite, and more.
