It is not like the usual peter kyne book like valley of the giants etc. This is an improbable tale spun around a heiress with a split personality and a broken nose, a psychologist who nonchalantly hypnotizes police officers and his clients to subvert law, a police chief who helps the girl and is not worried about the law and an absolutely remarkable secretary who is unbelievable. So, not as good as the regular books that he has written.
