Melanie Burton is quiet and good--and always gets top grades in school. But that's not enough anymore. She wants to be really special, and she thinks that being thin will do it. Melanie doesn't understand what all the fuss is about--after all, almost everybody diets at some time or other. She's just very good at it. So good, she lands herself in the hospital.
