About Author

Stuart Woods

Stuart Woods (born Stuart Chevalier Lee; January 9, 1938 – July 22, 2022) was an American novelist, known best for his first novel Chiefs and his series of novels featuring protagonist Stone Barrington. Woods was a Georgia native, entered the advertising business after college graduation and lived in England and Ireland for almost a decade. He became an accomplished and competitive sailor. His interest in this pastime and his need for financing it provided the incentive to write for publication. Woods’ initial literary efforts focused on sailing and expanded to include reviews of numerous British restaurants, inns and hotels.

Many agencies and advocates recently have urged that greater attention be given to the mental health needs of youths in the juvenile justice system (e.g., after an early warning by Cocozza, 1992: American Bar Association, 2001; Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention, 2000; National Council of Juvenile and Family Court Judges, 2000; National Mental Health Association, 2000; U.S. Surgeon General, 1999)...

Description

For the first time, the FBI thrillers "The Target" and "The Edge" are now together in one volume. The Target Dear Reader: You're about to enter a labyrinth where the unthinkable happens and the unimaginable becomes terrifyingly real. Escaping unwanted media attention after a notorious incident, Ramsey Hunt retreats into the solitude of a cabin high in the Colorado Rockies. But his isolation is shattered when he rescues a small girl unconscious in the forest and strangers invade his private meadow, their intent to kill. Molly Santera, the little girl's mother, catches up with Ramsey and her daughter, mistaking him for the kidnapper. When she discovers that he instead saved Emma, there's little time for thanks. The men pursuing want them badly. Savich and Sherlock (The Maze) as well as MAX, the transvestite laptop, return to assist. Ramsey and Molly, facing constant danger, unravel the clues and ultimately discover why they're at the center of the target. FBI - 3 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The Edge Dear Reader: If you remember, Ford MacDougal (Mac) first appeared in The Maze, at Quantico with Sherlock. Now Mac is flat of his back at Bethesda, seriously wounded in a terrorist car bombing when he dreams that his sister, Jilly, a medical researcher, drives her Porsche off an Oregon cliff. Only thing is, Mac feels like he's with her. When Mac arrives in Oregon to find out what's going on, Jilly comes out of her coma, only to disappear a few hours later without a trace. In searching for her, Mac hears a different story from everyone he encounters, even from the local sheriff. And then there is Laura...a woman who fascinates him, a woman who could kill him if he trusts her. When a local old man is murdered, Mac doesn't at first suspect that the case connects to his sister's disappearance. FBI agents Savich and Sherlock (last seen in The Target) join Mac to ride shotgun. Not knowing whom to trust and whom to suspect, they must escape relentless pursuers before unearthing the tentacles of evil undermining The Edge. FBI - 4 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
