Die Heimkehr

As a child Peter Debauer finds a incomplete novel about a German prisoner of war who escapes from a Russian camp to return to his wife who believes he is dead. Years later he embarks on a search for the missing pages which turns into a search for his missing father, a German soldier he believed to have been killed in the war.
