Donald E. Westlake

Donald Edwin Westlake was an American writer, with over a hundred novels and non-fiction books to his credit, writing under at least 20 pseudonyms. He specialized in crime fiction, especially comic capers, with an occasional foray into science fiction or other genres. Description

Stark's antihero Parker attempts to retrieve money he had to leave in an amusement park, but the money is gone. He enlists Alan Grofield to assist, but when Grofield is taken hostage, Parker assembles a private army to get him back and rob the mob blind at the same time.
