Brazil's migration law

The translation into English of 'Brazil's new Migration Law' intends to provide legal scholars around the globe with instructive material for their researches on migration, not only for those studying migration under Brazilian law, but also for the scholars interested in a comparative law approach to migration. There is a lack of access to primary sources of Brazilian law in English, especially in the field of migration, which would be somehow diminished with this translation. As the new Migration Law is considered to be an advancement in terms of protection of migrants in Brazil, it should be available not only for legal scholars and practitioners, but especially for immigrants, who could envisage in Brazil an opportunity to start a new life.
