Barefoot

When Vicki Stowe heads to Nantucket for a summer holiday with her two young sons, her best friend Melanie and her sister Brenda, all three women are running from trouble. Brenda has just lost her job, Vicki has been diagnosed with cancer and Melanie who has been struggling to have a baby and has just found out that she's pregnant - but also that her husband is having an affair. The women soon find that living together in a small cramped cottage with only one bathroom is not turning out to be the idyll that they imagined it would be. But salvation comes in the form of Josh, who joins the chaotic household, and helps the women while at the same time dividing them as their feelings for him start to grow beyond friendship.
