American ornithology

This book is divided into four volumes. Primarily, this book describes the physical description of North American bird species and helps one identify each species. There is some information on bird behavior as well. There is an average of three pages of text for each bird. There are not illustrations for each bird. Chapters on synonyms of bird names are very interesting.
