Description
Roy Chapman Andrew's 1918 outing of his Central Asiatic Expedition in search of evidence of the beginnings of mammal life in Central Asia and Mongolia. Andrews records his pursuit of fascinating and previously unknown fauna of northwestern Asia. Caravans in the desert, gunfights with Chinese brigands, violent showdowns with corrupt Chinese officials, hunting of strange and wonderful animals, mysterious and unfathomable cultures abound through out his book. His wife ,Yvette, took more than 35 photographs of the expedition and these have all been included in this digital version.
