Aventures, dénonciation de l'absurdité de la guerre, considérations écologiques et Histoire, le tout pimenté d'une bonne dose de mystère, sont ainsi amalgamés dans ce récit au terme duquel on apprend que la jeune héroïne devait s'assurer que le jeune Henri de Navarre ait la vie sauve et que son union avec la séduisante Marguerite soit préservée, leur mariage devant être un symbole de paix et de réconciliation entre catholiques et protestants. Une chronologie et une présentation des principaux personnages historiques auraient bien complété cet ouvrage que l'on réservera à de bons lecteurs. [SDM].
