Peter Crowther
Personal Information
Description
Pete worked for a time in computers, had a dalliance in music/arts journalism and ended his corporate working life (1995) as head of internal communication's for Leeds Permanent Building Society... just before it was gobbled up by the Halifax (though the two things were not linked). From 1995 he worked as a communications consultant with a specialist communications and design company in Leeds before becoming a full-time writer/editor/publisher in 2000. Born on the fourth of July, Pete developed an early love of all things American. That love affair has stayed with him through five full decades (plus a considerable slice of a sixth!) and it tends to feature heavily in his writing, particularly the short stories. He's the author of the Forever Twilight series, co-author (with James Lovegrove) of Escardy Gap, and author of the 'Luddersedge', 'Land at the End of the Working Day' and 'Koko Tate' short story series. Several of his 100-plus stories have been optioned or adapted for both big and small screen. Pete shares his life with Nicky and an unfeasibly large collection of books, comics, magazines, records and CDs.

Destination Unknown
Hilary Craven has lost the will to live, Mrs Betterton is already dead. A faked air disaster, a string of radio-active pearls, a leper colony floundering in the dry heat of the Moroccan desert. Hilary is lead towards a terrifying discovery and her new found enthusiasm for life turns into ice-cold fear...Christie based this book partly on the activities of two famous physicists of the early 1950s: Bruno Ponecorvo, who defected to Russia, and Emil Fuchs, who spied for the Russians. It is another of Christie's light-hearted thriller novels featuring a daring and fearless heroine.

Spaces Between the Lines
A very special jukebox in the abandoned saloon of a dusty deserted town plays much more than mere tunes for two weary wanderers ... A travelling carnival in a post-apocalyptic world comes across the Earth's very last vampire ... A chair fashioned out of the wood from the original cross provides a comfort of sorts down the ages ... A lonely girl dreams of freedom, whatever the cost ... A one-time orphan embarks on a bizarre bus-journey with his newfound parents ... Two old men tamper with the dark arts and open a gateway that threatens the destruction of the world ... A grieving widower goes to great lengths to bring his wife back from the dead--only to find that she's brought someone else with her ... And a man uses a roll of magical tape to halt time and save his wife's life, unaware that there are things in this stopped-clock dimension that take a dim view of visitors ...
