Margaret Flanagan (Ojibwe: Gizhiiwewidamookwe; born September 22, 1979) is an American politician and Ojibwe activist serving as the 50th lieutenant governor of Minnesota since 2019. A political progressive and member of the Minnesota Democratic–Farmer–Labor Party (DFL), Flanagan served in the Minnesota House of Representatives from 2015 to 2019. Flanagan grew up in St. Louis Park, Minnesota, an inner-ring suburb of Minneapolis. She is a citizen of the White Earth Nation.
