Who Am I? When I was a young wife my husband died. The days, weeks, and months after that event were dark and difficult. A few years later I lost my oldest son. Through both tragedies, books were my salvation. I immersed myself in other times and places, with different people. I went through hundreds of books and discovered that I didn’t want to read non-fiction, biographies, or those dour tomes labeled literary books. I wanted books where people were guaranteed a happy ending. I’ve never forgotten how important that escape was for me. What I want to offer you is a way to put the world on hold for a few hours or days. You’ll meet people who might be suffering or have suffered. They might be foolish or just stupid.
