My friend and fellow author Anju Gattani is helping me join the 21st century with my tweets and blogs. so you'll be hearing more from me in the future. I'm always open for questions from aspiring authors or people on low-sugar, gluten-free diets. Also, I'll keep you up on my life as a best-selling author. Most days, I get up at seven AM, then turn on the coffee, feed my three outside cats, then go to the mailbox for my paper. Then I eat a high-protein breakfast , so I can take a boatload of pills and supplements, then I do the Jumble and crossword puzzle to prime my brain for wordplay. Only then do I go to my office and do my e-mail, then start writing. On good days, I'll write for hours with no sense of time. On hard days, I'll sweat blood for every paragraph, but I can't afford to stop writing, even for a while, so I "write through" the rough spots, even though I know it's dreck. When I'm finally back in the groove, I can go back and fix the parts that don't flow. Usually, I work on my writing or the business end of career for eight to fourteen hours a day. (Welcome to the world of the self-employed.)
