The bird life of Texas
This book is to give a detailed history of natural history of all the species and subspecies of indigenous birds which have occurred within the confines of the present (1973) state of Texas from the date of the first recorded bird observation in late summer of 1535 through the winter season of 1972-73.
The birds of the Natuna islands
Ornithological knowledge of the Natuna Islands dates from 1893 when collected A. Everett visited the group and made a first collection of birds. This present report is based primarily on the 205 specimens collected by Dr. W. L. Abbott between May 23 and August 13, 1900 for the United States National Museum.
The birds of the Anamba Islands
This report on the avifauna of the Anamba Islands is basted on W.L. Abbott's specimens from a visit to the South China Sea, his manuscript notes, and the data published by Mr. Kloss. Nineteen new subspecies are here described from the Anamba Islands in addition to the two hitherto published. Two others -- one from the Seychelles, the other from the Andaman Islands -- are also named incidentally in the following pages.
